Medical Education
All killer, no filler

Teaching That Sticks

I’m a GP and clinical educator who designs and delivers bespoke teaching that tackles overlooked but vital areas of practice (both clinical and non-clinical), helping to shape the well-rounded, effective clinicians of the future.

I work with universities, conferences, and training providers to create sessions that are engaging, practical, and memorable.

I thrive on connecting with diverse learners, from GPs and ACPs to students and schools, bringing energy and relatability to every session.

In a world of information overload, I focus on clarity and connection, distilling complex ideas into concise takeaways. I create learning that is experiential, sparks curiosity, inspire s discussion, and translates into actionable insights for the coal face practitioner.

Why Work With Me

Experienced Clinical Educator

I work with Bristol University, Exeter University, NB Medical Education (Hot Topics), World Extreme Medicine, Health Education England, and many other organisations and training providers.

Qualified and Credible

Alongside being a jobbing GP and Emergency Medicine doctor which keeps me clinically current, I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education and am a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Educators.

Versatile

Skilled in both the design and delivery of education, from research and curriculum development through to interfacing with learners in any format. I’m comfortable facilitating small group discussions through to lecturing in large auditoriums and delivering webinars.

Grounded in Best Practice

My teaching methods are rooted in applied educational theory and evidence-based learning.

Learner-Centred

I focus on building meaningful conversations, tailoring sessions to learning needs, and making education immersive and interactive.

Innovative Approach

I explore the intersection of education and entertainment, constantly mixing up the stimulus to maximise engagement, using gamification, social learning, and – crucially – fun!

Portfolio GP Careers and the Art of Possibility

It's the Wild West out there! This interactive session explores the opportunities and possibilities that exist when you tread the path-less-travelled as a GP. We will also address the many associated pitfalls and challenges (the good, the bad and the ugly!) and you will leave with tangible next steps you can take towards forging a career that is a true expression of your unique interests and talents.

Personal Leadership Workshop

Leadership is often framed through the outward action of leading others through change. I believe true influence and impact begins from within. In this session we will look at how we can uncover our own mission so that we can first lead ourselves with passion and purpose.

Personal Effectiveness Workshop

Actionable and battle-tested strategies in time management, healthy habits, elevating routines into rituals, task management, prioritisation, essentialism, deep work, dealing with distraction and  finding flow for any health professionals in both a clinical and project-based capacity.

Mindset and positive psychology

Moving beyond a ‘growth mindset’ to what I call the ‘adventure’ mindset, creating the right headspace to bring your A-game to ever patient encounter, because every patient you see deserves you at your best.

Cognitive error and human factors engineering

Developing an awareness of your blind spots, your fallibility as a human being and crafting organisational systems that release bandwidth and support high quality decision making.

Waiting Room Emergencies

A clinical workshop on the recognition and initial management of a range of urgent care/emergency scenarios for both clinical and non-clinical staff, including the opportunity to do some low fidelity, low stakes, in-situ simulation practice. The session takes place in the waiting room area itself, using the live practice medical kit. It's an opportunity to practice, test and review systems that are in place to make us all feel more confident, whoever walks through the door of the surgery! The simulations are not designed to catch people out, and the emphasis is on applying first principles and getting the basics right.

Expedition doctor

Why Work With Me

I’ve taught in hospital wards, lecture theatres, tents, jungle clearings and mountain bases — and what I’ve learned is that great education meets people where they are.

Whether your team needs sharp technical skills, mindset shifts, or storytelling that changes how they think about medicine, I bring clarity, warmth, and practical experience that lands.
